Steven Cash Nickerson - Background in Martial Arts and Finance
Steven Cash Nickerson is a longtime Dallas executive who directs Nickerson Stoneleigh, Inc., as chairman and CEO. Holding a third-degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate, Steven Cash Nickerson also teaches karate, iaido, and jiu jitsu at The Academy Dallas (aka Big D Systema). He has written a number of books that tie business lessons to martial arts, such as The Samurai Listener.
Mr. Nickerson’s background includes a past role as principal and president of PDS Tech, Inc., where he drove consistent growth in the $400 million firm over a 12-year period. His company employed more than 10,000 staffers per year in IT and engineering positions when it was sold to AKKA Technologies, SE.
Mr. Nickerson began his career as an attorney with the Union Pacific Railroad Company in the mid-1980s. The corporate counsel he provided spanned a range of commercial and strategic matters, including mergers and acquisitions. In the 1990s, he directed Workforce Strategies, Inc., where he provided small Northern California businesses with outsourced payroll, HR, and benefits solutions.
